PROGRAMS & SERVICES

The Bronx Organization for Learning Disabled (BOLD) has 2 preschools located in the Bronx. We serve children between the ages of 3 and 5 years identified by the New York City Department of Education as requiring a special education setting. In addition, we provide speech therapy, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and counseling, as mandated by the children's IEPs. Our South Bronx location includes 2 UPK (Universal Pre-Kindergarten) classes. Both of these are integrated classrooms and serve children with and without special needs. BOLD is approved by the New York State Department of Education to provide English or Spanish evaluations for preschool aged children at no cost to the families. BOLD has the distinct honor of being accredited by NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children). This is a rigorous accreditation process spanning 5 years. We are among the 5% of NYC preschools to have achieved this status
