Individuals to Their New Roles

 

Amy GoldbergAmy Goldberg: Director, Queens North Comprehensive Services Center

Amy recently began her employment at Lifespire, but has been in the field for over 15 years. Ms. Goldberg received her Bachelor’s degree from Pennsylvania State University in Rehabilitation Education.  She received her Master’s degree in Health Care Administration from C.W. Post.  Amy’s goal is to ensure that every individual with a developmental disability is treated with respect and dignity.  She also hopes to bring some new and exciting ideas to the Queens North Comprehensive Services Center.

Thelma has worked for the agency for over 17 years, working most of those years as a Habilitation Practitioner at the John Cook Center.  While there, she served on many committees and received various awards, including the Moving Mountains Award from Everyday Heroes and the Service Provider of the Year award from Day Services Providers.  She served as a mentor for other staff at Lifespire, officially and unofficially.  For the last year, she has worked at Queens North as the Activities Manager.  Recently she received the Leadership Award from the ADSP NYC Region. 

Angela CavicchioAngela Cavicchio, Assistant Director
at Park Slope

Ms Cavicchio has been employed with Lifespire since 1996.  While working at Park Slope CSC, she has worked as a Developmental Aide II and III and as a Habilitation Practitioner.  Additionally, Ms. Cavicchio has been a part of the Lifespire’s Mentoring Program for a 2 year period.


Lori BeyerLori Beyer: Assistant Director, Bronx SEMP, Manhattan South SEMP, Manhattan North SEMP

Lori is a graduate from University of Wisconsin with
a BS in psychology. She moved to the big apple in 1996 and started working for Lifespire in January 2004.  Lori comes to the Supported Employment unit with substantial experience and knowledge from our own Lifespire’s QE and MSC Departments.  She assumed her responsibilities of Assistant Director on January 7, 2008.
